Prairiedale Elementary is a small rural Primary Grade School (K-3) situated approximately 8 kilometers north of Vanderhoof. Prairiedale offers one class each of straight grades 1-3 with Kindergarten students attending on a half time basis. The student population is relatively stable with very little transience occurring throughout the years.
The rural setting and small size attract families who value straight grades and caring, supportive teachers. Staff and parents work together to promote student learning and potential in a positive, challenging and secure environment where personal achievement, individual responsibility, and self- evaluation are taught and encouraged, making the primary years a positive educational experience. Parents can be assured that their children will achieve academically, enjoy themselves with friends and siblings while receiving personalized attention by skilled teachers and caring staff.
